The fourth season of Stranger Things ended last Friday (1st), with the release of its last two episodes.
While Netflix’s biggest franchise consolidates with the highest recorded audience numbers in the history of the platformfans have already started charging for more episodes.
The Duffer brothers, directors of Stranger Things, have already confirmed that a fifth season is not only confirmed, but will be the last of the show.
In an open letter published in Feb., the brothers said, “Seven years ago, we planned the full narrative arc for Stranger Things. At that time, we anticipated that the story would last four to five seasons. She proved too big to count in four.”
There is still no release date for the next episodes of the series. The gap between the first two seasons was one year, released in July 2016 and October 2017, respectively. The third only came after two years, in July 2019.
Because of the pandemic, the time for the arrival of the fourth season was even longer, with releases only in May and July of this year. However, perhaps the final season will arrive sooner than fans expected.

In a recent interview, Matt and Ross Duffer said: “The gap should be a little smaller this time because we already have an initial sketch. And we cannot imagine that there will be another forced six-month hiatus.”
Another important factor is that between the first and fourth seasons, the fictional town of Hawkins ran through time from November 1983 to March 1986. However, in this period, the actors aged five years.
To redeem the effects of the older actors, Ross Duffer has already confirmed that there will be a time jump.
From here, this text will contain spoilers for the 4th season of Stranger Things.

While the end of Stranger Things doesn’t arrive, some questions are still open to be answered by the last season.
Will Max come out of the coma?
During the fourth season, Max, played by Sadie Sink, spends most of the episodes haunted by Vecna. In the last episode, as part of the plan to try to destroy the 001 of Dr. Martin Brenner, Max lets Vecna into his mind.
As a result, she had her arms and legs broken, she was blinded and her heart stopped beating for a minute – being saved because of Eleven. At the end of the season, she remains in a coma in the hospital.
In season five, we’ll find out if Max comes out of the coma. If she leaves, the questions remain: will she regain her sight? Is Vecna still on your mind?

What will happen to Eleven?
At the end of season four, Eleven was once again shown to expand the boundaries of her powers.
Accessing happy memories of moments with Max, she was able to bring her friend back to life after Vecna’s final attack.
For season five, the question remains of how this resurrection power will be explored and what the possibilities are. Will she be able to resurrect other victims?

In addition to the powers, Eleven’s return to the group only happened after the US Army’s invasion of Dr. Brenner to capture her.
Will it still be considered a threat to the United States? Or will the army recognize her as an ally against the dangers of the Upside Down?
Nancy’s Love Triangle
After spending most of the season together crafting a plan to defeat Vecna, Steve showed that he still had feelings for Nancy.
He even revealed his dream future, in which he would be traveling on a camping trip with Nancy and their six children.

After an entire fourth season away from Jonathan and a greater realization that the chemistry between the two is no longer the same, will Nancy choose between the two?
The resolution of the love triangle will be left for the fifth season.
Will’s Sexuality
In later episodes, Will implicitly shows feelings for his best friend Mike, with a heartwarming performance by Noah Schnapp holding back tears.
The moment was noticed by Jonathan, who tries to open a safe space for his brother, saying that he will always love him for who he is.

Anyway, Stranger Things finally chose to touch on the issue of Will’s sexuality by making him address his own feelings through the example of Mike’s relationship with Eleven.
After a season with its birthday forgotten and few standout scenes, the fifth season will serve to answer whether Will will have enough space to address this question properly.
Didn’t Vecna die?
After a multi-pronged attack, Nancy, Steve and Robin managed to hit Vecna’s “real body” with gunfire and Molotov cocktails.
However, after being defenestrated by a shot from Nancy, the trio does not find the body outside the house.
Upon returning to Hawkins, Will stated, “Now that I’m here, I can feel him and he’s hurt. He is injured, but he is alive.”

In one of the last scenes, you can see a shower of foliage, which is thought to be upside down material. Will those who breathe be dominated?
After an earthquake and the streets of Hawkins crack into the Upside Down, Season 5 will show the effects that Vecna’s four deaths have had on the city.
In a recent interview, Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Vecna, was mysterious: “Let me put it this way: I know about season five. Take what you want out of it.”
