In 2003, it was almost the most desired gadget – for all time it was sold in the amount of 150 million units, which made it one of the best-selling smartphones of all time. At the time of release, it was one of the first smartphones and, at the same time, the best model from Nokia, in which only Siemens SX1 with an inconvenient form factor could stand out from its competitors. The smartphone got into this collection precisely because of the huge popularity and desirability that made it legendary. Nokia 6822
All models of the 6800 series had a rather ambitious and in every sense strange form factor – the numeric keypad leaned back behind the display, opening up access to the internal QWERTY keyboard. 6822 is the last and in every sense improved smartphone of this line (updated camera and higher color screen). Nokia N90
Nokia N90 turned out to be very revolutionary, although a year before its release there was already a model 6260 with a similar design of a rotary display. The differences between the N90 turned out to be in the work on the bugs. Firstly, the camera module was placed separately from the main structure (thus getting rid of the limiting factor – you can install a larger camera without a significant thickening of the case). Secondly, the same module was made movable – it became possible to change the shooting angle without rotating the smartphone itself. Nevertheless, the N90 also had some problems, or rather, limitations: for example, the screen did not rotate 360 degrees, and it could not be used when folded.

Nokia 5510
While the 6822 described above offered a QWERTY keyboard with halves on the sides of the screen and looked relatively modern, the Nokia 5510 from 2001 looked very strange both then and now. In fact, this is the well-known Nokia 3310, but with strangely located buttons. In addition to external resemblance to the legendary indestructible model, the phones were identical inside: the same built-in programs and games, the same small monochrome display. Nokia 5700
This is the oldest model from the nascent XpressMusic line, and Nokia in every possible way emphasized belonging to the music series. Of course, this is expressed primarily in the rotating keyboard module. Depending on its position, the smartphone switched between four modes of operation: in the normal position, the gadget was used like any other phone; when the keyboard was rotated 180 °, the user had access to the physical media control buttons, and the music player was launched on the screen; when turning the camera back (it is located on the side of the keyboard module), as in the picture above, the viewfinder was opened for shooting; when you turn the camera towards you, the self-portrait mode opens (the birth of a selfie?).

The 7280 is arguably the most unusual smartphone Nokia (and anyone else) has ever made. Journalists called it “lipstick”, which is quite justified by the form factor – the gadget really looked more like a fancy female accessory than a phone. He did not even have a keyboard, all control was carried out through a few keys and a circular control. Apparently, the device was intended for the most part for girls – this is also hinted at by the display, which turned into a mirror surface in standby mode.

Nokia N-Gage
All smartphones from this collection attract people who are interested in technology, but it is N-Gage that retains the title of one of the most desired gadgets of any techie. This is the first console phone, it has a very unusual design (especially for that time) and, of course, amazing gaming capabilities (co-op from a distance, the world record table). Basically, Nokia wanted to poach Game Boy Advance users by offering something similar, but with phone functionality.
