The Civil Police of the city of Paraty (RJ), through the 167th Police Station, is investigating a homicide recorded at around 11:15 am this Wednesday (26) in the neighborhood of Patitiba.
The case was recorded by video surveillance cameras at a bakery.
During the action, hooded men got out of a car and shot Felipe Fernandes da Conceição, 32, numerous times, who died at the scene. Arthur Veloso dos Santos, 16 years old, was also shot and is hospitalized in serious condition at the Hugo Leal Municipal Hospital.
According to the Civil Police, the drug war as a motivation for the crime cannot be ruled out. Felipe and Arthur, stepfather and stepson, were involved with factions involved in drug trafficking in the region.
“We are in the investigative procedure and have not ruled out any possibility. We are listening to witnesses, family members, requesting images and expert examinations” stated the chief delegate of the 167th DP, Dr. Marcelo Russo.
