Tether said the statue’s image of Nakamoto was inspired by the “mystery and innovation” of Bitcoin’s founder.
“The monumental composition was created to play with the viewer’s perception. The statue changes shape, appears or disappears from view as the observer changes his point of view in space. According to the authors, this should symbolize Satoshi’s departure from public attention after laying the foundation of a revolutionary financial system,” Tether said.
The statue was created by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi, who was inspired by the idea of ”capturing both the mystery and enduring legacy” of Nakamoto.
