Star Wars: Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin

Who does not die sees himself. Sixteen years after Revenge of the Sith, the last chapter of the second trilogy of Star Wars who saw him as a protagonist, Hayden Christensen is ready to take on the role of Anakin Skywalker again. It will do it in Ahsoka, the new Disney series dedicated to the George Lucas universe which will star Rosario Dawson. The actress, according to what anticipates theHollywood Reporter, will dress, in fact, the role of Ahsoka Tano, the renegade Jedi seen in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars from 2008.

After the success of The Mandalorian, it’s clear that Disney plans to ride the franchise for as long as possible, and Ahsoka it could be the perfect link between the old and the new. Along with Christensen’s expected return and doubts about the series’ timeline – it could be later Return of the Jedi, with Anakin already transformed into Darth Vader, or before the epilogue of Revenge of the Sith, with Anakin still Jedi -, fans of Star Wars are preparing to re-embrace another old acquaintance from the second trilogy, or the Obi-Wan Kenobi played by Ewan McGregor, which will be the protagonist of a spin-off all by itself.

In this case the temporal location is less cumbersome, since the story should take place in the time elapsed between Revenge of the Sith e A new hope, then in the delicate passage between McGregor’s first interpretation and that of Alec Guinness, recounting the facts that led Obi-Wan to a life of clandestinity, under the false name of Ben.
