Sputnik V vaccine: Northern Macedonia received 3,000 doses

Three thousand doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against him coronavirus received by Northern Macedonia.

The batch of vaccines arrived at Skopje airport and was received by the Minister of Health. Northern Macedonia Venko Filipce and Russian Ambassador to Skopje Sergei Bazdnikin.

Venko Filipce said that with the vaccines that the country received will start, the day after Wednesday – even at a symbolic level, since doses are only sufficient for 1,500 people – the population vaccination program.

Russia’s ambassador to northern Macedonia, as reported by AMPE, reminded that the vaccine Sputnik V It is now approved for use in 46 countries with a total population of 1.2 billion people.

This is the second batch of new coronavirus vaccines supplied by Northern Macedonia, after the one received from Serbia.

In February, Serbia sent 8,190 tranches to northern Macedonia Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines, which started the immunization of the medical and nursing staff of the Balkan country working in the reference hospitals for patients with COVID-19.
