The number of unemployed people in Spain decreased by 2.28% in November compared to December, or by 74,381 people, as unemployment reached pre-pandemic levels with 3.18 million people out of work.
The figures mark the ninth consecutive month of falling unemployment rates and the lowest unemployment rate for November since 2008, the labor ministry said.
Spain created 109,451 jobs during the month, while about 125,632 people still remain enrolled in the government job support program, down 39,992 from the previous month.
This has brought the number of registered workers to 19.77 million, which is a record high for the Spanish labor market.
Spain has experienced strong employment growth so far in the second half of the year, thanks to the pandemic reduction, in a country with one of the highest vaccination rates in the world.
Although the figures for tourism are far from the same as during the pre-pandemic period, the autumn is proving good for the industry, which has created 30,000 jobs in the catering industry alone.
Construction and industry were already creating jobs, and all regions recorded positive results.
