Space X postponed the launch of a space plane that was scheduled for Monday night (11) due to problems on the ground. The company announced the change on social media.
The launch would be broadcast on X, a social network previously called Twitter and which belongs to the same owner of Space X, billionaire Elon Musk. It is likely that the schedule will maintain the live broadcast on launch day.
The objective of the launch, according to the company, is to expand “knowledge about the space environment, experimenting with future space domain recognition technologies”.
The company did not say how long the vehicle will remain in space after launch or where or at what altitude it will orbit.
The Falcon Heavy rocket is considerably more powerful than the Falcon 9, also from SpaceX, used the last time the X-37B went into orbit.
SpaceX launched the world’s most powerful rocket in November, but a failure caused engineers to lose contact with the ship in space.
