SP police seize plane used by PCC to transport drugs

The Civil Police of São Paulo seized, this Wednesday (7), an airplane that would be used by the criminal faction PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) to transport drugs. The aircraft was seized at Campo de Marte Airport, in Santana, in the north zone of São Paulo.

The plane was located while police were serving eight search and seizure warrants against criminals responsible for money laundering in the region.

According to the São Paulo Public Security Department (SSP), investigations into the suspects began about a year ago. One of those under investigation is believed to be the owner of the twin-engine aircraft.

After investigations revealed that the man did not have sufficient financial means to purchase and maintain the plane, the police discovered that those responsible for the aircraft formed a gang that provided services to criminal factions.

The transport in question was allegedly used by the group to transport drugs both within Brazil and to other countries.

The police had been searching for the aircraft for weeks. It was only during the execution of the warrants that the twin-engine aircraft was located. So far, no one has been arrested. The case was registered at the 30th Police District (Tatuapé), where the investigation continues.
