The São Paulo Civil Police arrested this Monday (23) the second person involved in the attempted robbery that ended with the death of delegate Mauro Guimarães Soares, who had worked for 35 years in the Criminal Investigations Department, Deic. The arrest took place in Diadema, in the ABC region of São Paulo. The shooter was shot in the action and is hospitalized in custody.
The crime took place on the morning of last Saturday (21) in Vila Romana, in the west zone of the capital of São Paulo.

According to a witness who was working on the street at the time of the incident and had his car hit by gunfire, immediately after the incident, the suspect, despite being shot, tried to flee, but was restrained by people.
Teams from the 1st Disccpat (Investigations into Robbery and Robbery), Disccpat (Division of Investigations into Crimes Against Property) and UIP (Police Intelligence Unit) participated in the action.
According to the police, the criminal was identified hours after the crime, and his arrest was ordered by the courts.
