SP goes into “danger” for rain of up to 100 mm and winds of 100 km/h

The National Institute of Meteorology issued an orange, dangerous alert to rain in São Paulo, this Thursday (24). The forecast is for precipitation between 30 mm/he 60 mm/h or 50 mm/day and 100 mm/day and gusts between 60 km/he 100 km/h. Instability is already moving through the state.

The capital is expected to have “all April rain at 48h” between Thursday (24) and Friday (25)-the average is 87 millimeters. The capital may have the rainy April since 1961.


The Civil Defense established a crisis office in the Bandeirantes Palace, in São Paulo. Initially, the place operates until Friday (25) and can be extended.
