Snoop Loopz is a new cereal from the Broadus Foods line, branded by the rapper Snoop Dogg which he co-founded with fellow rapper Percy “Master P” Miller .
Miller recently shared an announcement about the new cereal on his Instagram account.
“@Snoopdogg we are taking over the supermarkets,” read the caption. “Snooploopz.com, the more we earn, the more we give.”
The box indicates that it is a gluten-free multigrain cereal.
According to its website, “Broadus Foods was founded to continue Mama Snoop’s legacy of her generous love and passion for feeding families in our communities.”
Part of its mission is to support American charities like Door of Hope, which help the homeless.
Other products include Momma Snoop’s oatmeal, grits, pancake mix, and maple syrup. Rapper Snoop Dogg also has a wine line in partnership with 19 Crimes.
But this duo isn’t the only one to have a food brand to call their own. Other celebrities also invest in the sector, from baby food to salad dressing.
The actress Jennifer Garner for example, is one of the founders of Once Upon A Farm , which specializes in nutritious foods for children made only with organic fruits and vegetables. They are zero sugar products and preservatives.
One of the most famous – and pioneers – in the United States was the actor Paul Newman, which, in 1982, launched its own salad dressing on supermarket shelves.
Today, its product line Newman’s Own has several items, from cookies, teas, pizzas, among many others. The value of the sale of the products is totally donated to his foundation that helps needy children – according to the official Instagram, in these 40 years, US$ 575 million have already been donated.
already the actress Kristen Bell owns a granola bar company and, for each product sold, a child in South Africa and Haiti receives food for their entire family.
It all started when Kristen learned about childhood malnutrition and before long she was creating the This Bar Saves Lives.
