Six teenagers were arrested for breaking into a building and stealing a car this Sunday afternoon (19), in Santo André, Greater São Paulo. According to the Public Security Secretariat, the suspects are between 14 and 17 years old.
Records from the site’s security cameras show that, at around 5:40 am, the six teenagers went down the garage ramp, forced the gate and managed to open a crack to enter. The suspects then appear with the vehicle, knock down the structure and flee.
The Military Police recorded aerial images of the search for the stolen car. During the chase, the teenagers crashed into another car and were approached by corporation vehicles on Avenida dos Ourives, in Sacomã.
According to the SSP, the suspect who was behind the wheel had minor injuries and needed medical attention.
The boys aged 14 to 17 were taken to the police station, where they gave a statement and were handed over to their guardians, who signed a commitment to appear at the Children and Youth Court.
