Sisu has more than 1.07 million subscribers and exceeds the number of students in 2022

The Unified Selection System (Sisu), a platform of the Ministry of Education (MEC) that brings together vacancies from public universities, had 1,073,024 applicants, an increase of 1.8% compared to the same edition of the previous year, which had 1,054,474 registered by CPF.

Registration closed at 11:59 pm on Friday (24) and the result will be announced on Tuesday (28).

In total, the system had 2,062,815 enrollments — that’s because students can choose two course options.

To compete for one of the 226,000 vacancies, students had to use the National High School Examination (Enem) score and could not have zeroed the essay.

The deadline for expressing interest in the waiting list will be from February 28th to March 8th,

The Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, celebrated the outcome of the assessment.

According to him, it was important to reverse the downward trend in courses, which had been happening, he says, since 2017.

Enem has also been suffering from a drop in candidates in recent years, as well as other entrance exams. Among the reasons, experts point to the worsening of the country’s socioeconomic reality.
