Simony reveals details of the advance in cancer treatment

In treatment for cancer in the bowel region, singer Simony posted videos on Instagram on Tuesday (23) updating fans on her health status.

“I know I’m a little missing, but that’s how it is. I’m focused on my fight, focused on my healing. My doctor stopped by and told us that the tumor has already shrunk a lot. He’s impressed, he came out cheering me on. The one who is applauding him is me”, said the singer.

Hospitalized in São Paulo for the chemotherapy treatment, Simony thanked the Hcor team in the message.

“I thank all the people involved. The girls who bring the food, everyone. I am super well treated, with the greatest love and affection. I’m very happy. It’s all working out,” she said.

The most frequent signs of bowel cancer are blood in the stool, change in bowel habits, such as diarrhea and constipation, abdominal pain or discomfort, weakness and anemia, weight loss with no apparent cause, change in the shape of stools and the presence of nodules in the abdominal region.

The diagnosis can be made from the biopsy, which consists of removing tissue fragments for analysis. The sample is collected through a device introduced through the rectum, called an endoscope.

Treatment is effective and can lead to a cure, especially when the diagnosis is made at an early stage and the disease has not yet spread to other organs. In addition to surgery, radiation therapy or chemotherapy may be required.
