Silvio Santos’ eldest daughter pays tribute to her father: “I already miss him”

Cintia Abravanel the eldest daughter of Silvio Santos used social media to pay tribute to his father, who died last Saturday (17), at the age of 93. The presenter and businessman died as a result of bronchopneumonia after infection with Influenza (H1N1).

“Dad, my love, I already miss you and so does Brazil. Thank you for everything. For every conversation, life lesson, affection and especially your love. You will always shine for me, dad. I will feel your presence at home no matter what step I take, guided by the love you left behind. I love you infinitely,” she wrote when sharing a photo of her childhood with Silvio.

On her social media, Cintia also shared a photo with her son, actor Tiago Abravanel, during a tribute to Silvio Santos at Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. See:

This Sunday (18), the businessman’s six daughters spoke out on social media and thanked the public for their affection.

In the letter to the public, the family said they plan to continue their father’s legacy at the station: “We will strive and work to bring you joy, information and entertainment in the same way that [ele] always has. May his essence remain at SBT and may SBT continue to be made by and for Brazilians.”
