The third phase of Operation Accelerare, launched by the civil police of Rio Grande do Sul, arrested seven people and apprehended a teenager for the crimes of supporting Nazism and criminal association this Tuesday (14).
With the targets, the agents seized computers, cell phones, separatist pamphlets, literature with Nazi and fascist content, combat boots, bladed weapons, swastikas and posters with racist messages.
Six people were arrested in Rio Grande do Sul and one of them in Fortaleza, Ceará. In addition to these states, search and seizure warrants were also executed in Curitiba, Paraná and in Araçoiaba da Serra, Ribeirão Pires and São Paulo, in the state of São Paulo.
The investigations began in May this year, following an anonymous tip. Around 100 civil police officers participated in the action.
The first and second phase of the operation arrested suspected Nazi supporters and seized electronic equipment. Based on the analysis of the seized materials, several neo-Nazi cells and groups with extremist, separatist and racist characteristics were identified, as well as group members and leaders.
