Banco Santander announced this Friday (20th), in a material fact, the resignation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, Sergio Rial.
The executive then leaves the position of member of the Board of Directors and member of the Advisory Committees of the Board, which until then a member.
“In accordance with paragraph 3 of article 15 of the Bylaws of Santander Brasil, Mrs. Deborah Stern Vieitas, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, will assume her duties until the date of the Company’s next Ordinary General Meeting, scheduled for April 28, 2023, her position remaining unchanged”, highlights the document.

On Wednesday (11), Rial also announced the decision to step down as CEO of Americanas, after the company disclosed, also through a material fact, inconsistencies in accounting entries estimated at R$ 20 billion.
He had been sworn in to this position on January 2 of this year.
