Scheduled to premiere on July, 19 the series “Ugly Betty – The Story Continues” of Prime Video got its official trailer this Thursday (13).
In production, derived from the Colombian soap opera “I am Ugly Betty” the audience follows the protagonist, played by Ana Maria Orozco reconnecting with her former colleagues and with Armando, to whom she is still married but is currently separated.
Throughout the story, she also reunites with her daughter, Mila, who studies fashion in New York, in the United States.
While seeking to rebuild her relationship with the young woman, the protagonist needs to make other necessary decisions that will affect her career, including deciding whether or not to reconcile with her ex-husband, who will go to great lengths to win her back.

In addition to Ana, the cast also features other names from the original version, such as Jorge Enrique Abello, in the role of Armando Mendonza, Julián Arango, Natalia Ramírez, Lorna Cepeda, Luces Velásquez, Marcela Posada, Mario Duarte, Julio César Herrera, Ricardo Vélez, Alberto León Jaramillo and Estefanía Gómez.

The soap opera, produced between 1999 and 20001, was considered the most successful in history by Guinness World Recordsbeing broadcast in more than 100 countries and dubbed in more than 15 languages.
In the story, Betty is a sweet and kind girl, but has difficulty socializing. When she starts working at a large fashion company, in addition to feeling threatened by the beautiful and nasty women there, she falls in love with her boss, Armando Mendoza, a committed man.
