“Senna”: miniseries about Ayrton Senna gets premiere date on Netflix

Netflix announced this Thursday (18) the premiere date of “Senna” . The miniseries about Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna arrives on the streaming service on November 29th.

Over the course of six episodes, the production will narrate Senna’s career in the sport, as well as portraying his personality and personal relationships. The starting point is the beginning of the three-time champion’s racing career, when he moves to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues until the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino GP.

The plot is led by Gabriel Leone who recently also played Spanish driver Alfonso de Portago in Michael Mann’s “Ferrari”. In an interview with In Palma da Mari from the CNN the actor revealed that playing Senna was the biggest challenge of his career.

“It was an honor for me, a huge responsibility to play this character, to tell this story. And I think that, without a shadow of a doubt, this was the most challenging process, the most complex immersion I have ever had in my career,” he said.

Names like Alice Wegmann , Kaya Scodelario , Matt Mella , Hugo Bonemer , Julia Foti , Marco Ricca and more are in the cast. See who’s who in the plot .
