Senegalian street vendor, ngange mbaye, 34, shot dead by a military policeman during an action in Brás last Friday (11) left a Seven -month pregnant companion .
Woman’s lawyer, Adriano Santos, revealed that the couple planned to make the baby shower the day after the death on Saturday (13).
According to the lawyer, Ngange’s companion, Ângela, worked with him about a year ago. The lawyer says he will sue the state, claiming compensation and pension to Angela. The defense also stated that the street vendor sold colored slippers and that the goods were not irregular.
“He has no relative here, but we will do this because who will help her take care of the child? She has no help from anyone now,” Adriano told CNN .

The injured policeman was rescued, while the street vendor was stabilized at the scene, but could not resist.
In a statement, the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) reported that a Military Police Inquiry (IPM) was established to investigate the case and that the PM involved in the approach was removed .
The Immigrant Human Rights and Citizenship Center (CDHIC) issued a note of regret mourning Mbaye’s death. “We express our solidarity with the Ngange family, the Senegalese community and all migrant people who, daily, face racism, xenophobia and precariousness in their work routines and survival.”
The CDHIC is a civil society organization that operates in the promotion and defense of the rights and citizenship of migrants and refugees.
