Some of the world’s main leaders participated in Pope Francis’ funeral in São Pedro Square this Saturday (26). The delegations were positioned at the ceremony considering priorities and the alphabetical order in the French language, the main diplomatic language.
In the first row, the President Lula was positioned near the center. Some chairs to the left of the Brazilian president was the president of Argentina, Javier Milei while on the right in the first row they sat Donald Trump (United States), Emmanuel Macron (France) and Volodymyr Zelensky (Ukraine).
Also placed near the center were the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, and monarchs from 12 countries: Andorra; Belgium; Denmark; United Arab Emirates; Spain; Jordan; Lesotho; Liechtenstein; Luxembourg; Monaco; Malta; Sweden.
In the third row, a little further from the other authorities mentioned above, was Keir Stmerer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Already on the fifth row who accompanied the ceremony was Joe Biden, former president of the United States.
