Google released a report on the most searched terms globally since search data began to be measured with Google Trends in 2004.
Find out which bands were the most searched for in almost two decades.
Boy band: BTS
South Korean group BTS was the most searched band in the boy band category since the start of the historic series on Google. Formed by seven members — RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook —, it was one of the first K-Pop (Korean pop) bands to break out internationally, gaining a place in the most listened to songs around the world.
In the report, Google also added other curiosities, such as the group’s most searched choreography (Dynamite), the most searched member (V), the most searched song (On) and the most frequently asked question associated with them (what does BTS mean) .
Girl band: Blackpink

South Korean quartet Blackpink was the most searched girl band on Google since the beginning of the historical series.
The band is also part of the K-Pop popularization phenomenon and is made up of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa.
Rock band: The Beatles

In the rock band category, the most searched group on Google since the beginning of the historical series was the Beatles. Young Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr came together in the 1960s in Liverpool to go down in history and compose songs that remain classics to this day.
