Criminals are keeping an eye on cell phones with financial applications and the bank cards of revelers during Carnival festivities. It is necessary to be attentive and take some precautions to enjoy the festival days safely and easily.

The volume of money handled by Banco24Horas tellers alone is enormous. During Carnival 2023, more than R$1.8 billion was handled in approximately 12 million transactions at these ATMs across the country.

From Saturday until Carnival Tuesday 2023, Banco24Horas served around 7 million customers across the country. In the capital of São Paulo alone, more than 771 thousand customers were served during the period.

In addition to São Paulo, which recorded around 1.3 million transactions during the 4 days of festivities, the cities that recorded large ATM transactions during Carnival were Rio de Janeiro, with over 835 thousand; Salvador, with 389 thousand, and Recife, with 173 thousand.

2 – Uninstall applications from financial institutions and emails during the festival days, this way you will be even more protected during street carnivals;

3 – Apply double-factor authentication on your cell phone;

4 – Keep location mode active in case of theft;

5 – Before going to the party, check where there is an ATM closest to where you will be so you can withdraw money for your temporary purchases.
