The singer Sean Kingstonowner of hits such as “Beautiful Girls” and “Eenie Meenie”, was the first confirmed attraction of the “Replay Festival”, a Brazilian musical event that celebrates the 2000’s nostalgia.
With two editions, the festival will take place on October 28th in Rio de Janeiro, directly from Riocentro and November 4th, in São Paulo, at Centro Esportivo Tietê.
In a statement published on Instagram, the artist commented on his participation.
“I will be performing live at the Replay Festival. Listen, when I say it’s going to be good, that’s an understatement, it’s going to be a great experience.”
The rapper went viral in 2007 with the single “Beautiful Girls”. The hit, which has millions of views on YouTube, marked generations and is part of his first and eponymous album, released that year.
“Replay Festival” with an eye on nostalgia
This is the first edition of the festival that promises to bring together emblematic artists who were successful in the 2000s.
“There are moments that leave a lasting impression, like that CD you played on your discman, the blurred photos of the cybershot you took in the mirror and that poster on the bedroom wall of your favorite band”, says an excerpt from the event’s manifesto.
“Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be able to relive all this for an entire day? […] A trip back in time that will take you back to the best years of your life.”
Other line-up information and ticket sales (via Sympla) will be released soon.
