SC: fire hits carnival champion samba school in 2025

A large fire hit the Samba School shed Vale Samba, 2025 Carnival champion in Joaçaba, Santa Catarina City, on the morning of Wednesday (2).

The Fire Department was fired at 7:30 am to combat the flames and clarified that there are no victims on site. The shed is located in the Vila Pedrini neighborhood.

Upon arriving at the scene, Firefighters from Joaçaba, Catanduvas and Freshwater (SC), with 12 combatants in total, identified a large volume of flammable and toxic material in the shed. The decorative materials use petroleum derivatives, which made it difficult to work the teams and contributed to the flames to spread rapidly from the back of the background to the front of the site.

According to CBMSC, neighboring properties were fully preserved, which avoided greater damage to the community. In a video recorded by a passing person, you can see the situation of the shed.

At the moment, the firefighters make the flames after the fire to avoid new fire outbreaks. In addition, the Municipal Civil Defense also follows the situation, as there is a risk of collapse of the walls and the ceiling of the affected structure.

The Fire Department’s expertise begins this afternoon and the technical report, with the causes of the fire, must be completed within 30 days.
