The process of subscribing beneficiaries to the “Save 2021” program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is entering the final stretch. It is recalled that within the framework of the program, the Ministry of Environment and Energy announced on 28/04 the initial results of submissions of single-family houses/individual apartments, based on which 87,246 applications were submitted, of which 40,012 were characterized as initially eligible and 47,234 as runners-up. It is recalled that during the application phase, supporting documents for the participation file were not submitted. For the initially eligible applications, on 20/5/2022 the period for electronic submission of the supporting documents required, especially the Electronic Building Identity, began on 20/5/2022, which ends on 19/7/2022.
Already since 20/5, tens of thousands of beneficiaries have digitally completed the supporting documents and the Electronic Building Identity, which is necessary for the control and cross-checking of the legality, use, area and age of the property – and ultimately for the classification of applications. It is emphasized that for the great majority of applications (except for special cases and recent acquisitions) the verification of supporting documents, data and evaluation – classification is done automatically and electronically by the information system.
However, despite the ever-increasing rate of completion of procedures by interested parties and their advisers, many thousands of initially eligible applications are still outstanding for completion of supporting documents and HTI. Those who do not complete the required supporting documents and Electronic Identity within the deadline that expires on 19/7/2022 risk not being included in the Temporary Tables of Eligible – Runner-up applications that will be issued per Regional Unit, in accordance with the Program Application Guide and instead being listed in the tables of Rejected applications.
The period until 19/7 is considered critical for the completion of the pending applications and everyone is invited to contribute to the successful completion of the procedures concerning them, so that the final results are quickly available and the electronic process and the inclusion of the proposals are completed, so that be done an hour earlier, in view of the coming winter, the financing of the projects and the receipt of the advance payment of the aid for the beneficiaries.
It is recalled that the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) is the Implementation Body of the “Excoyome 2021” Program designed and implemented by the Ministry of the Interior with resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund (Greece 2.0). As part of the project, a large-scale energy saving effort is being attempted in homes and apartment buildings throughout the country. The program in the current cycle has a public expenditure budget of 632 million euros and is addressed to all income categories, with an emphasis and high rates of assistance to vulnerable households. At the same time, the implementation of the interventions, which will exceed 1 billion euros, is expected to provide a significant boost to the construction sector and engineers across the country.
