Samsung has announced that Walmart will purchase a huge number of smartphones from the Korean giant over the next few months.

More precisely, we are talking about 740,000 protected Galaxy XCover Pro devices. Smartphones will be given out to Walmart employees for use at work and at home. Samsung notes that this is its largest deal in the mobile enterprise segment in the US market. The deal has not been announced, but the Galaxy XCover Pro is retailing for $ 500. Of course, Walmart devices were cheaper, but still we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars.
Walmart itself needs smartphones to implement the Connected Associate initiative, which created a special application that is designed to simplify everyday tasks for employees, the customer service process, and planning work and life outside of work.
Recall that the Galaxy XCover Pro is a rugged smartphone with SoC Exynos 9611, 4 GB of RAM and a removable 4050 mAh battery.
