Samsung smartphones become the main gaming device powered by Snapdragon Pro platform

Today, December 7th, Qualcomm has officially named Samsung as its top partner in the multi-discipline mobile esports league Snapdragon Pro Series. Accordingly, under the new contract, the popular esports league will use Samsung branding in certain regions where various tournaments are held, plus participants in the Mobile Challenge and Mobile Masters level will compete exclusively on smartphones from the South Korean giant’s Galaxy line. The first tournament held in partnership with Samsung will be DreamHack Valencia – the final will take place at the end of this month.

Unfortunately, although both companies have released official press releases on this matter, no one has said which smartphones eSports players around the world will fight on. Probably, the finalists of the Snapdragon Pro Series tournaments will have at their disposal the flagship smartphone Galaxy S22 Ultra or the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablet. The fact is that both devices are equipped with a productive Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which is currently the most powerful solution in Samsung’s arsenal – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform will appear on the company’s smartphones along with the Galaxy S23 early next year.
