Earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, Samsung announced three new monitors, including the Samsung Smart Monitor M8, which features a slim design and features for home and office use.
Now the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is officially on sale in South Korea for about $692. The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is only 11.4mm thin, making it significantly thinner than previous models. It features a 32″ 4K Ultra HD display that covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and has a brightness of 400 cd/m2 and displays 1.07 billion color shades.
Unlike other monitors, this is a hybrid that can be used as a Smart TV. It runs the Tizen operating system and comes with an IR remote. It also serves as a SmartThings hub, ensuring full compatibility with the Samsung IoT ecosystem.

It has a SlimFit magnetic camera that can be attached to a monitor and supports video chat apps like Google Duo. There’s also a Workspace feature and support for Microsoft 365.
There is a USB Type-C port with video and power support, as well as 65W fast charging. The South Korean giant also said that Smart Monitor M8 users will be able to stream games and connect wireless controllers to it.
