Samsung now has a pocket projector with Smart TV. It can be a smart speaker and light

Many people dream of a huge TV, but cannot afford it for certain reasons. An alternative to TVs are projectors, which are also gaining popularity lately. They offer more flexibility in terms of home theater equipment. At CES 2022, Samsung presented an unusual projector called Freestyle, which has several features at once. Firstly, it is very compact and relatively lightweight, so you can take it with you wherever you go. Secondly, this is not an ordinary projector, but a smart one. According to the company, it combines a projector, a smart speaker, and a light fixture.

If we talk about the main purpose of Freestyle, then in operation it is very similar to Samsung smart TVs. At least in terms of software. The projector allows you to turn any surface into a screen with a diameter of 30 to 100 inches (0.76-2.54 m). The picture is displayed in 1080p resolution. The Freestyle sits on a dedicated hinged stand that allows it to automatically align and focus and rotate 180 °. The device is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. Support for Dolby Digital Plus and HDR10 is also announced. The lamp resource is 20 thousand hours.

The projector does not have a built-in battery, so it only works with a wire. It is connected via USB-PD, the power of the power supply must be 50 W or more. In addition to its main task, the Freestyle serves as a smart speaker and lighting fixture. It has support for two voice assistants at once – Bixby and Alexa, and a built-in 5-watt speaker with panoramic sound provides an immersive experience.

With the SmartThings app, users can adjust the color of the projector directly on their smartphone screen. Smart Calibration automatically analyzes the environment, such as wall color and lighting conditions, to create the optimal image quality. The Freestyle is currently available for pre-order through Samsung’s official website and is priced at $ 900.
