On July 5-6, the final of the All-Russian competition for the development of mobile applications “IT School Chooses the Strongest!” took place, in which more than 500 graduates of the Samsung IT School program for the 2021/2022 academic year took part. The competition itself was held in three categories: “Social application”, “Game application” and “Programming”. At the end of these works
were evaluated on the relevance and novelty of the idea, technical implementation, functionality, design and ease of use.
The guys from Moscow Anton Vorobyov and Dmitry Ledokhovich became the absolute winners and owners of the highest award. They developed an application for an umbrella rental system – a service with a working prototype of the device reads the barcode and, thus, the user takes an umbrella and then returns it to another place.
In the Programming nomination, Dmitry Martynenko from Moscow won the prize by creating a client application for Gerrit servers.
Oleg Lomachenko (Moscow) became the winner in the “Game Application” nomination. He created the SECRETBALL billiards simulator with realistic object movement physics.

Since the contest was held online, the audience chose their winner. Andrey Malyshev with the Mototrack project became them.
The federal social and educational program for the training of future IT specialists “IT School Samsung” offers students in grades 9-10 to take a free course, gain knowledge and practical skills in developing mobile applications in Java for Android. About 5,000 schoolchildren have already graduated from this program and received company certificates.
