The Director General of JAN3 and the famous supporter of Bitcoin Samson MOU criticized the cryptocurrency Ripple (XRP), saying that its inclusion in the US strategic state reserve will be a mistake.
According to the Decree of the US President Donald Trump, the government should evaluate the possibility of creating a national reserve in cryptocurrencies. Therefore, many participants in the crypto industry suggested that in addition to Bitcoin, the authorities can include the XRP reserve, since Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse sought to establish relations with the new US administration.
However, Samson Mow spoke out against this idea, saying that only Bitcoin deserved a place in the state reserve. Adding other cryptocurrencies, including XRP, undeservedly “exalt” the company that create altcoins without internal value. The MOU cited the production of Ripple 100 billion XRP as an example, calling this “the creation of wealth from the air”.
MOU insists that the inclusion of XRP in the reserve controlled by the government will become inappropriate to use taxpayers, and this will benefit only Ripple itself and its founders.
In September, the Director General of JAN3 invited the Japanese authorities to include bitcoin in a strategic reserve in order to ensure the stability of the country’s economy. In the same month, the MOU suggested that Bitcoin is able to easily reach $ 100,000, and forecasts about the collapse of the first cryptocurrency are not substantiated.
