Today, December 13, there was quite good news for the citizens of Russia who were vaccinated with a foreign vaccine, because they also had the opportunity to receive the corresponding QR code. True, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova clarified that there are a number of specific features – firstly, in order to obtain the required code, a person first needs to pass a test that will show whether there are antibodies to coronavirus in the body. Secondly, this vaccination certificate is valid on the territory of Russia only for six months, which should also be taken into account when using it – usually, when passing the full vaccination cycle, the certificate is issued for a year.
And, thirdly, a similar rule also works if a Russian citizen is vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine outside the country. In this situation, upon arrival in Russia or already being on its territory, a person can also pass an appropriate test for the presence of antibodies, and if the result is positive, he will be issued a certificate for six months of vaccination. Earlier, the information publication RBC, citing its sources in the State Duma, reported back in November that a new bill was being prepared on obtaining QR codes for those vaccinated with a foreign vaccine.
It is also worth clarifying that at the moment in the territory of Russia not a single foreign vaccine has been registered, which means that it does not have official recognition at the state level. Because of this, many citizens vaccinated abroad could not receive a QR code for a long time, but now the situation should change. Moreover, judging by the results of the survey, the idea of issuing QR codes and vaccination certificates to those in whose body there is a sufficient level of antibodies to coronavirus is supported by more than half of the Russians surveyed (51%).
