Russian missile attack kills 9 and injures 29 in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine

A Russian ballistic missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih killed nine people and injured 29 this Wednesday (12), including five children, said Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

The deadliest attack in weeks damaged an administrative building and an apartment block, Ukraine’s military command said on messaging app Telegram.

The minister reported that the recovery work was completed.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the attack.

“Every day and every hour, Russian terror proves that Ukraine, together with its partners, must reinforce air defenses,” the leader said.

Kryvyi Rih is the hometown of the Ukrainian president.

In the video shared by Zelensky, a man was shown being pulled from the rubble on a stretcher. Firefighters fought the flames and rescuers lifted a concrete block into the ruins.
