Russian hackers target European diplomats with fake wine -making events

A group of hackers that have previously been linked to Russian intelligence services has targeted European diplomats in recent months through invitations for false wine -making events by a European Country Ministry, according to a new study published on Tuesday. According to Politico, the cyber security company Check Point revealed that the Cozy Bear team, which has been connected to Russia, targeted diplomatic entities in Europe by sending emails with titles such as “Wine Testing Event” and “Diplomatic Dinner”. These messages contained malicious software to violate the security of the recipients. Cozy Bear is one of Russia’s most notorious hackers.
