Russian hackers attacked a Spanish company upgrading tanks for Ukraine

A unit of General Dynamics, Santa Barbara Systems, based in Spain that upgrades Leopard tanks for deployment in Ukraine, was cyberattacked and its website crashed, according to a pro-Russian hacking group. A spokesman for General Dynamics in Germany said Santa Barbara Systems was continuing to analyze the reasons why the website went down and added that the company’s operations in Europe had not been affected. Hacker group NoName claimed responsibility for the DDoS attack (A DDoS attack targets websites and servers, disrupting network services in an attempt to exhaust an application’s resources) in a message on the Telegram platform. “We sent our DDoS missiles to your websites in Russophobic Spain,” wrote this group on Telegram yesterday, which often launches such attacks targeting countries that support Ukraine.
