The Russian troops continued to return to their bases and today after the completion of the exercises in which they participated in areas adjacent to Ukraine, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The first units to take part in the exercises have begun arriving at their camps, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Kanashenkov said today.
According to Kanashenkov, all units of the Russian armed forces, including those in Belarus, will return to their bases after the end of the exercises.
“After the end of the exercises, the formations and military units of the Russian Federation will return, as always, to their permanent camps,” Kanasenkov said.
The ministry also said that troops moving to Belarus to take part in joint military exercises with Minsk on February 10-20 would also return to their bases thereafter.
