Russian guided bomb attacks on Thursday (15) killed at least two people and wounded seven others in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine, local authorities said.
The deadly attack targeted a civilian enterprise in the Kupiansk district, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram. Another employee was injured, he added.
Six people, including a 12-year-old child, were injured in the village of Zolochiv when Russian forces dropped two bombs, regional police said on Telegram.
Administrative buildings, a kindergarten and more than 20 private homes were damaged in the attack, police added.
Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, and the surrounding region have long been targets of Russian strikes, and Moscow’s troops have for months been shelling Ukraine’s border regions with highly destructive guided bombs.
Moscow denies targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure in its invasion of Ukraine, but thousands of people have been killed and injured in its attacks.
