Russia: NATO countries’ move to allow Kiev to hit Moscow with weapons it has supplied is a dangerous escalation

Statements by some Western countries during the NATO summit this week in which they allow Kiev to use weapons supplied to it to strike Russian soil are a dangerous escalation, the Kremlin said today. Andrii Yermak, the director of Ukraine’s president’s office, yesterday called for an end to restrictions on the use of weapons supplied by allied countries to hit Kiev in the Russian hinterland, saying it could ” bring it upside down’ in the war in Moscow. “We are hearing statements from representatives of some capitals, London and so on, that they do not see any restriction in this regard and we see countries that are trying to maintain the balance and say that they are opposed to this kind of relaxation of the conditions for the use of long-range missiles,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
