Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation from his Indonesian counterpart Joko Vidondo for the G20 summit to be held in Bali on November 15-16, Russian presidential adviser Yuri Usakov said, Interfax reported.
“We have confirmed that our participation is planned,” Ushakov told reporters, adding that at the moment the leaders of the countries are invited to participate live.
According to Usakov, it is important that Vidondo invited Putin to the summit “taking into account that the Indonesians are and are being pressured by the respective Western countries.”
The Russian president’s adviser said Putin would meet with Vidonto in Moscow on June 30.
“Immediately after his return from Ashgabat, the president will receive his Indonesian counterpart Joko Vidodo. It is a working visit under the Indonesian presidency to the G20,” Usakov said.
The two leaders will discuss the war in Ukraine as well as grain exports and fertilizers.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Soltz said that “the G20 must continue to play its role. Asked if it will sit at the same table with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said that the decision will be made” shortly before departure, because then the situation in the world can change very significantly. ”
