Russian diplomacy announced today that it requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss the missile strikes in Yemen launched by the US and British armed forces against the Houthi rebels.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said in a press release issued today that the Islamic Republic “strongly condemns” the missile strikes launched by the US and UK armed forces against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
“We strongly condemn the military attacks carried out this morning by the United States and the United Kingdom against Yemeni cities”emphasized Mr. Kanani.
“We consider them a clear violation of Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, international law, (international) regulations and rights.”
