Nymphia Wind won the 16th season of “RuPaul's Drag Race “, after fighting for the title with Plane Jane and Sapphira Cristál. She was the first Taiwanese artist and the third winner of Asian descent.
In the final episode, Wind performed a choreography to the song “Padam Padam”, by Kylie Minogue, and beat Sapphira. In her victory speech, she said, “To those who feel like they don’t belong, remember to live without fear and have the courage to live your truth.”
The drag queen stood out for using the color yellow in her costumes. In the final of the 16th season she appeared in a banana dress, paying homage to her fans, whom she calls “Banana Believers”.
Sapphira Cristál and Xunami Muse tied for the title of “Miss Congeniality”. In the end, they both won and received $10,000 each.
It was announced that the ninth season of “RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars” and “RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Untucked!” will premiere with two episodes on May 17th on Paramount+.
