Rumor: Radeon RX 7900 XT will be $100 more expensive than GeForce RTX 4090 and 20% faster

The web is already full of rumors about what the future flagship GeForce RTX 4090 and Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics cards will be like in technical terms, but this time one of the Twitter users shared his opinion on the timing of their release, cost and relative performance. A person with the characteristic nickname Graphically Challenged (BAN MINING) opposes mining and shares various forecasts on his page (for example, about the Radeon RX 6950 XT and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti). In his prediction for future flagships, he favors the Radeon RX 7900 XT in terms of performance.

Rumor: Radeon RX 7900 XT will be 0 more expensive than GeForce RTX 4090 and 20% faster

It is assumed that the GeForce RTX 4090 will be released earlier: the announcement will take place in September, and sales will start in October. The official cost of the video card will be 1900 dollars. All this is quite consistent with previous rumors about this video card. The announcement of the Radeon RX 7900 XT is predicted at the very end of the year – in December, and it is supposed to go on sale in the first quarter of 2023 at a price of $ 2,000. AMD previously stated that the Radeon RX 7000 and Ryzen 7000 processors will debut this year, and December (as the month of the announcement) fits into this schedule.

In terms of performance preference, we expect a roughly 20% advantage in favor of the Radeon RX 7900 XT. Whether this will really be the case is the question, because the current Radeon RX 6900 XT is approximately on the same level as the GeForce RTX 3090. However, the Radeon RX 7000 video cards have already predicted a huge jump in performance.

At the moment, all the “details” about the future flagships of Nvidia and AMD are rumors, and it’s hard to say which of them will be confirmed. But the data of this prediction does not diverge from previous leaks.
