Throughout the chapter this Saturday (19) of Vale Tudo, the character Rubinho (Júlio Andrade) presented some pre-in-infarction symptoms, such as chest pressure and pain in his left arm. But is it normal for such an event to announce so before?
In fact, according to Mayo Clinic, a reference medical clinic in the United States, signs before a heart attack may appear hours, days and even weeks before the event. “Pain or chest pressure (angina) that persists and does not disappear with rest can be an early warning sign. Angina is caused by a temporary decrease in blood flow to the heart,” says the institution’s official website.
Rubinho will have a heart attack in the chapter of next Monday (21), dying in the arms of his ex-wife, Raquel (Taís Araújo). The musician will be boarding for New York, happy of life, in the jet of Marco Aurélio (Alexandre Nero). However, at the time of takeoff, he will suffer a fulminant heart attack.
What are the symptoms of infarction?
Although it may happen suddenly, part of the patients may show signs, in the heart of infarct, which include:
- Pain or discomfort in the pectoral region that can affect the back, face, left arm;
- Weight sensation or tightening on chest;
- Cold sweat;
- Pallor;
- Shortness of breathe;
- Feeling of fainting.
According to data from the American Heart Association, 20% of cases are asymptomatic. This means that they are only diagnosed later during routine medical check-up tests.
Symptoms of infarction can manifest differently between men and women. This is because heart attack in women usually affects small arteries, while in men the great coronary arteries – but this is not a rule.
Instead of feeling pressure or tightness, women often experience acute, pointed pain or as a burning sensation. The pain may also be located not only in the chest, but on the shoulders, back, neck or jaw.

Lifestyle threatens the heart?
It is common to see the musician in the soap opera with a glass of whiskey in hand or smoking a cigarette. And it was even the subject in X, former Twitter, that these habits aggravated the picture:
Rubinho infarctioning since yesterday and drinking and smoking. Had gone to the doctor not died #Valetudo

Among the risk factors for a heart attack are smoking, physical inactivity, food rich in ultra -processed and greasy foods, high cholesterol and excessive stress, as debated by cardiologist Roberto Kalil and his guests in an episode of CNN Vital Signs of March 2024.
