Rota arrests suspect of controlling drug trafficking in the South Zone of SP and finds R$314 thousand

Police officers from Rondas Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar (Rota) arrested a 39-year-old man on Tuesday (27), who is believed to be responsible for the drug sales scheme in the southern part of the capital of São Paulo.

The arrest took place in Cidade Ademar, also in the south zone.

With him, the agents seized R$314 thousand in cash, in addition to packages of cocaine, containing 780 pins of the drug, and cell phones.

According to the Public Security Department, the police reached the suspect after receiving reports that there was a warehouse at the address to hide and sell drugs.

The suspect was on the second floor of the property, and was caught counting the amount of money, which came from drug trafficking.

At the scene, bags used to package drugs and 15,000 empty cocaine capsules were also seized. All of the material was in the name of the suspect’s sister, who is already in prison for drug trafficking.

The case was registered as drug trafficking and seizure at the 6th Police Station for Investigations into Criminal Factions and Money Laundering.

In a statement, the SSP stated that it is continuing with actions to find others involved in the scheme.
