David Schwimmer eternally known for playing Ross in “Friends”, must be the new star of the second season of the Disney+ series “Goosebumps” according to information from Variety.
The series was renewed for a second season with eight episodes in February this year, in an anthology format — that is, the new season will bring a completely new story, with different characters.
“Goosebumps” is based on the series of children's mystery and horror books written by RL Stine.
In the next season, two teenage brothers discover a threat inside their home, revealing a great mystery to be solved. As they delve into the unknown, the pair come across the story of five teenagers who disappeared without explanation in the 1990s.
According to VarietyDavid Schwimmer will play Anthony, “a former botany professor and divorced father of teenage twins, whose world takes a tumultuous turn as he juggles the responsibilities of caring for an aging father and welcoming his children into his home during the summer”
Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman developed the series and serve as executive producers, alongside Hilary Winston, Neal H. Moritz, Scholastic Entertainment's Iole Lucchese, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Scholastic Entertainment's Caitlin Friedman, and Erin O'Malley .
The first season of “Goosebumps” is available on Disney+.
