Rosewood Castiglion del Boscothe idyllic Tuscan resort in the heart of the Val d’Orciahas

+ Leisure.
In the annuals World’s Best Awards 2022 the resort, nestled among the vineyards of Brunello di Montalcino, has achieved the first place as:

• Best Resort Hotel, Italy (Best Resort in Italy)
Every year Travel + Leisure rewards the best hotels, islands, cities, cruise and airline companies, spas in the world, based on the results obtained from an annual survey aimed at its readers, which evaluate hotels, destinations, tour operations and much more. Specifically, hotels are evaluated according to characteristics that include: rooms and facilities, location, service and catering. The Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2022 are published annually on the Travel + Leisure website and celebrated in Travel + Leisure’s August UK and US issue.
Inside Castiglion del Bosco
Inside the Val d’Orcia Natural Park, a UNESCO heritage site, in the Brunello di Montalcino production region, Castiglion del Bosco is a 2,000-hectare property purchased by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo in 2003 and that since January 2015 has entrusted the management of the resort to Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, thus becoming Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco.

But Italy does not only conquer the first position and occupies 10 of them. Back in the ranking in 15th place with Portrait Florencea boutique hotel a few steps from the iconic Ponte Vecchio, while in 37th position there is theHotel Santa Caterinato Amalfi. The rooms and suites are decorated with antiques, hand-painted tiles, and marble bathrooms that keep the atmosphere true to timeless charm.
L’Hotel de la Villeby Rocco Forte Hotel a Rome comes in 41st place with its splendid terrace on the eternal city life, followed immediately after by The San Pietro of Positanowith its unforgettable view, private beach and tennis courts.
The Lake Como with the Grand Hotel Tremezzo arrives in 53rd position, while the splendid resort of Borgo Egnazia in Fasano in Pugliaoccupies the 62nd place.
Florence back in the rankings with another hotel signed by Rocco Forte: theSavoy Hotel. Also Capri has its own hotel withCaesar Augustus hotelfollowed by the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni to Bellagio. The hotel closes for Italy Le Sirenuse of Positano, in 95th place.
