Rosamund Pike wore a veil to the Golden Globes after injuring her face in a skiing accident over the holiday break.
The 44-year-old star was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in “Saltburn” and attended the prestigious ceremony last Sunday (07), sporting a black headpiece that covered her face.
When asked about her choice of outfit, she told “Variety” what happened on the ski slopes. “It’s a protective veil for the occasion… well, I had an accident at Christmas. I had a skiing accident. Not what you want when you know you're going to the Golden Globes on January 7th. On December 26th, my face was completely busted up, so I thought, 'I need to do something.'”
After planning the look with the aim of covering the marks from the incident, Rosamund realized that her face had completely recovered before her appearance on the red carpet, however, she chose to keep the veil.
“It’s healed, but I kind of fell in love with the look,” he joked.
