In the Italian capital and in eleven other cities of Italy, marches and mobilizations took place tonight against the “green pass” and for “freedom of choice” with regard to the vaccination of citizens against coronavirus.
In Milan, Palermo, Sicily, Turin and Bologna, citizen participation was very limited.
In Rome, thousands of people demonstrated again in the central People’s Square, with torches in hand. The mobilization was attended by a total of seven MPs and MEPs of the League, while the party secretary, Matteo Salvini, did not support this initiative.
“We do not call ourselves anti-vaccines, but we want to be able to choose freely whether we want to be vaccinated or undergo various treatments,” said the organizers.
Alongside, Slogans were heard against Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and the adoption of the “green pass”, which from August 6 will be necessary for access to many private and public spaces.
The media emphasize that, unlike last Saturday’s and last night’s mobilizations, tonight it does not appear that members of Italian neo-fascist organizations entered the demonstration.
